About me
Hi! I'm Emily Robertson.
A graphic design apprentice studying creative digital design, working for Knauf Insulation.
I started my career, in 2020,
one week before the Covid-19 lockdown, which meant learning
to communicate, collaborate and create entirely from my bedroom.
This challenging time shaped
me into the designer I am today,
a good communicator, problem solver with a very organised workflow.
Now, as a Graphic Design apprentice at Knauf Insulation and a Creative Digital Design student, I have the opportunity to use real-world experience and combine this with academic exploration. I love solving problems through design, whether that’s, developing user-centred designs, printed and digital assets, or experimenting with emerging tools like 3D and AR.
My work is guided by curiosity
to always learn more, empathy
and a desire to improve experiences
for others.
2022 - Present
Graphic Designer Apprentice
Role:
1. Support the creation of the marketing content and communications campaigns
-
Support in the development of the
marketing content. -
Coordinate the update of the various marketing collaterals.
-
Digital channels: update website and
social media content when required. -
Working with external suppliers to assist in the production of marketing assets.
2. Customer marketing
Support in the Implementation of
key customer marketing activities and
work with the sales and commercial team with requests for marketing material,
such as merchant POS and customer-
focused collateral.
3. Internal communications
Support the development of assets
for internal communication activities
(internal newsletter, internal briefings, email signatures etc.).
4. General
Support the creation of various reports and presentations (report on design- specific spend / monthly marketing report / marketing presentations) and attend the monthly marketing meetings (inc. Comms & Digital meeting).

Marketing Apprentice
Role:
1. Support the creation and execution
of the marketing content and
communications campaigns

Working with the Studio to update various marketing collaterals using Apple Mac and Adobe Creative Cloud Software.
